Board of Directors
The board is responsible for the general
direction and oversight of the organization.
During this first year of operation, the
board is made up of the presidents from the
founding colleges and universities which are
listed in our
membership list. James C. Votruba, President of
Northern Kentucky University, serves as
chair of the board. In subsequent years, the
board will be made up of member presidents
representative of four-year public, two-year
public, and private institutions in the
state as well as corporate, non profit,
student, and national service
representation.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board provides advice and
recommendations to the KyCC executive
director and executive committee. Initially,
the advisory board will include a
representative from each of the member
schools. One of the first tasks of the
Advisory Board is to give recommendations
for the creation of an advisory board that
represents the geographical, cultural, and
institutional diversity of member
institutions. The Advisory Board and
executive director meet biannually and on an
as-needed basis. Membership could include
students, faculty, and staff representing
higher education institutions in Kentucky
and interested parties from pre-K thru 12
schools, community organizations,
businesses, and foundations.
The Advisory Board provides input on topics
including, but not limited to the following:
- Creating and planning programs and
conferences
- Developing program policy
- Planning and implementing public relations
programs
- Funding leadership development
- Partnering with service organizations
