KyCC provides support for service-learning, community service, and civic engagement staff.

We do this by providing service-learning workshops for your institution, providing gatherings of staff from around the Commonwealth, and by providing a consultant corps (currently in development.)

Are there funding opportunities?

Currently, KyCC has the following funding opportunity for KyCC members:

  • VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America).   Full-time VISTA member can help build the capacity of your institution in using service-learning as a teaching methodology. $5,500 cash match required. VISTA slots granted on a first-come first-served basis.  Learn more about VISTA grants.

The National Service-Learning Clearinghouse is funded by the Corporation for National Community Service (CNCS) and provides links to publications, newsletters and databases. CNCS grantees and sub-grantees are able to receive resources from the Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse has an effective practices section with resources for higher education.

NOTE:  Learn and Serve America's National Service-Learning Clearinghouse Library has a new e-Library feature!  Now you can more easily locate full-text documents available from. New links take you to collections of full-text articles, tool kits, and PowerPoint presentations and our new e-Library search makes it easier to find other materials in our Library catalog that you can print and use immediately.
